DEAR EXPECTANT mama,
WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AT OUR PROFILE AND TAKING A CHANCE ON GETTING TO KNOW US. We can see that you are brave and loving as you are considering the gift of adoption. Adoption is a tough decision and we know you have thought and prayed about it just as much as we have, if not more. We have been praying about it for several months and feel led to adopt. We are excited to share our home and lives with our first child. Thank you so much for considering us to raise your child and to be their parents. This is the greatest gift you can give to us and your baby.
About us
We met at a friend’s New Year’s party for 2018. We had both decided at the last minute to attend the party. After the party Mindy asked her friend about Jason and then realized that Jason’s father was one of the pastors at her church. Jason grew up in the same church that Mindy had attended for several years, but we never crossed paths until the New Year’s Party. During the Superbowl of 2018, Mindy’s shift at work got canceled, so she decided at the last minute to go to a different friend’s Superbowl party. Jason and Mindy crossed paths again and spent the entire evening together watching the game cheering for the Eagles. The Chiefs weren’t in the Superbowl that year. A week later, we had our first date and have been together ever since.
STRONGER TOGETHER: When we were just newlyweds and Jason was a new uncle, one of our nieces needed a heart transplant. Jason and Mindy took her into our home post surgery and were her primary caregivers for three months. We united as her caregivers. If we had to do this over again, we would. We would do it for any one of our nieces or children. We have been able to unite and overcome any curveball life has thrown our way. We focus on strong communication and have compassion for each other and those in our lives. When one of us needs help, the other is always ready, willing, and able to step up and fulfill those needs.
meet our pups
OUR TWO DOGS ARE JOEY AND BING. Joey is a german shepherd and he is great with children. He loves to let his favorite children cuddle on him and read him books. They will also play together with his favorite toys. Bing is a shih-tzu and he will lay and cuddle with anyone that gets close to him. They are both loyal pets and always stay nearby their family.
Our home
We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in the middle of a cul de-sac with our 2 dogs. There is a walking trail and several playgrounds within walking distance from our home. We live just minutes away from Jason’s family and a couple of hours away from Mindy’s family.
When we are home, we enjoy cooking and eating together. We like to watch movies and Mindy’s favorite snack for movie night is popcorn. We also enjoy going to the park and exploring local hotspots. We are excited to include our child in all these adventures.
OUR loved ones
Jason grew up in Kansas with his parents and sister. He was placed with his parents at 6 months old while he was in foster care and adopted when was 2.5 years old. Then 5 years later his parents adopted his sister (open adoption). Jason’s parents look forward to spoiling their grandchild and babysitting too. His sister’s goal is to be the “cool aunt”.
Mindy is the youngest of 3 children and grew up in Kansas too. Fast forward several years and Mindy became an aunt at the age of 15. She is now the aunt to 5 beautiful nieces (2 of them adopted from foster care). Mindy’s family is thrilled to have a baby in the family. Our nieces are excited to have a new cousin to spoil when they come visit us.

What we love to do for fun
• Weekly game night at our house
• Dinners with friends or family
• Go to local coffee shops and then go to the park for a walk
• Mindy has monthly outings with her little sister through the Big Brother Big Sister program.
• Go to KU Basketball games and Sporting KC Games
• Travel to Florida a few times a year to see our best friends (that have their own adoption story)
• Travel to a new place once a year
• Once every few years we travel to Hawaii with Jason’s extended family

BIRTH MAMA, Your love and sacrifice for the baby is not unnoticed. We will help our child understand that you gave them the greatest gift of love by giving them a great opportunity to have the best life possible. We will teach them that you made the decision for adoption out of love.
