Liz and Brett
Hello! Our family is made up of Brett (dad), Liz (mom) and our son kris.
We are a family who loves to be outdoors, play games, be silly, go fishing, dance, and take walks with our dog. We also love food! Eating together is an important part of our family time. We are a family brought together by adoption, and now we are hoping to expand our family through adoption again. Our son’s adoption was a wonderful whirlwind, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way. Thank you so much for learning more about our family, we would also love to discuss ways for your child to maintain contact with you if you chose us to be your child’s family.

About us
We met in college and shared the same chemistry class, we already had chemistry together! Our relationship started with an initial attraction, and was deepened by shared values and similar hopes for the future. We have grown stronger together over the last 10 years of marriage through trust and communication, and have also grown in our faith. Though we do not have biological children, adoption is something we both feel called to do, and has been one of our greatest blessings! On any given day, you will find us working to take care of each other as a family. We are also enjoying watching our son grow and learn as he finishes Kindergarten, and we are thrilled for him to start extracurricular activities.

Kris is a bright, charismatic, and energetic six year old. He loves family, music, and being outside. Kris was adopted into our family at 21 months old after being in foster care with one of our family members. He is SO excited about being a big brother!

We love our families!! We live in the town where Brett grew up, and where most of his immediate family also still lives. We get together regularly for meals and to spend time together. Brett’s mom loves to be generous with her grandkids! Liz’s family lives about 1.5 hours away, and we see them regularly. Liz’s mom and dad love to do projects or read with their grandkids.
Kris loves all of his extended family (a lot), but especially loves running around with his cousins. They are always laughing and giggling when they are together!
about our home
Our family lives in a rural town with several recreational opportunities. We have a city lake and reservoir for boating and fishing, and several nature and biking trails. Our town is located on the Santa Fe Trail and has many historic landmarks. Each summer our town hosts Washunga Days, with a parade, food, music, and lots of family fun.
Our home is in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of town. One of the best parts about our home is having a large yard and friendly neighbors. In the colder months, we love to spend time in our theatre room downstairs watching movies by the fireplace.

What we love to do for fun
We all love being outside for just about any activity! Brett’s favorite outdoor hobby is golfing, we live just a few blocks from a golf course in town. Liz picked up the golf hobby after getting married to Brett, and Kris has his own set of golf clubs now too! We also love fishing locally, walking on the rails to trails, or playing in the yard. Liz and Kris love to spend time in the garden together, and often make bouquets of flowers from our yard to give to friends. We love traveling as a family, and are excited to keep exploring together!
