Thank you for taking the time to explore our profile and get to know us. We can only imagine the courage it has taken for you to come to this decision to share the blessing of your child with another hopeful family, and we hope that you will consider us to love, nurture, and raise your child. We hope that you enjoy learning about us, our families, and our dreams and aspirations of becoming parents. We pray that you are blessed also in your journey in finding the right family for your child. Know that we will provide them with a life full of love, adventures, and wonderful experiences while teaching them to be the very best that they can be in life.

About us

We met back in high school, but we didn’t date back then. We became reacquainted in 2006 and eventually started dating. We both share a pretty good sense of humor which brought us together. 

We were married in 2013 and have been trying to start our family since. Throughout the past 10 years, we have experienced many failed medical interventions to help make our dream of becoming parents true. While it has been tremendously heartbreaking, it has strengthened us as a couple and led us on our next exciting journey into adoption. We are both nervous and excited to begin this next adventure and hope to add a new member to our family.

Daniel is a degreed Mechanical Engineer and has worked mostly in the aerospace and plastics industry. He has a strong passion for building companies up to be better than ever.  He is also a super math genius!!

Krista is a Nurse Practitioner working in pediatrics.  She is blessed to be providing primary care to the children within her community.  She has also worked in Pediatric Cardiology for the past 8 years.  She has been fortunate to mix her passion for children with her work.

A Closer look

About Krista by Daniel - Krista is an absolutely amazing woman. She has a great sense of humor, a huge heart, and always makes time for the many children in our lives. Krista has a unique talent with babies that others have noticed as well. I’ve seen her on many occasions calm a crying baby when nobody else could; it’s almost magical to watch. She has always had this way of calming, coaching, and loving kids that simply amazes people. She truly cares about all children, so much so that she has even dedicated her career to helping children. Since we first met, she has wanted to be a mom more than anything else in the world (I love this about her). When she and I were dating, I was looking for a woman that I wanted to be a mother to my children and to this day, I still cannot think of another woman I would want my children to call “mom.” I am proud to call myself her husband.

About Daniel by Krista - Daniel is one of the smartest and most talented guys I know. A total math and history guru. He has been playing guitar since about the age of 8 and amazes me every time he picks up the guitar. He has been involved in his church worship band along with his parents and brother for many years. He also played in a band and was able to travel the US touring with them in the past. Daniel loves kids and they love him right back. He is the human jungle gym and kids just tend to migrate his way when he’s around. I always say he’s just a kid in a grown-up’s body. He will spend time playing games, hair/makeup, or anything else that the kiddos dream up. He is also a great teacher and is often called on to tutor friends’ children in math. I know in my heart of hearts that he will be an amazing father someday.

Our home

We currently live in the Wichita, KS area. Daniel has lived in Kansas his entire life, while Krista moved to Kansas from North Dakota her freshman year of high school. We were both in the same graduating class and both graduated from the same high school. We love the community that we live in. Krista serves the children within the community through her job and loves being involved in community events. We have lived in our home since building it in December 2008. Our neighborhood is quiet, and we have amazing neighbors. We feel we are in the perfect place to begin our family. We live close to many of our family members, with most of them being within 15 minutes of our home.

OUR loved ones

Our parents all live close to us in Kansas and we typically spend holidays with them, sometimes all together. Daniel’s parents live in Wichita. Daniel has a brother, sister-in-law, and nephew who live in the same town as us. Krista’s mother and stepfather live in the same town as us, and her father and his girlfriend live about an hour away. Krista has a brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew who live in Colorado. They travel to Kansas typically a couple of times a year to visit, and we try to make the trip to beautiful Colorado as often as we can to spend time with them. We have an amazing group of close friends that we spend a lot of time with as well. They all have children who have become our nieces and nephews. We really enjoy attending all of their sporting events together.

What we love to do for fun

Krista enjoys doing photography as an extra hobby. Sports are also a huge part of her interests; she LOVES Wichita State Men’s Basketball and she and Daniel attend most games together, along with our nephew. Spring and summertime you will often find us at the baseball/softball fields supporting the children in our lives. Lake trips are also a must in the summertime and Krista will spend her time fishing with her family whenever she gets the chance.

Daniel is a musician and doesn’t usually go a day without picking up his guitar. He also enjoys building and/or working on guitars; he can always be found tinkering and fixing something. He also enjoys working on and rebuilding old cars.
