The selflessness and courage you have to learn a little about us, shows the love you have for your child. Thank you for taking a moment to read about us and I hope we can portray to you how fun-loving and family oriented we are. Adoption is big in our hearts and we are praying for you. May you feel the love we have to give and know your child will be raised in a caring, safe and nurturing home.

About us

We met Memorial Day Weekend at a local lake where our families grew up camping and boating. A local band was performing and this is where our first dance took place. Little did we know so soon in our lives we would be meeting our life partner and soul mate. We had just graduated from high school and dated for 6 years before getting married. 

After raising our fur baby Charlotte for a year, we decided to have a baby of our own. Seven years later, a few surgeries, IUI attempts, and IVF, our journey has brought us to adoption. Infertility brought strength to our marriage and our love has never been stronger. 

We have great support from our family, and they are eager for us to bring home our future daughter. One of our grandfather’s and two cousins were adopted and we know how much love can come with doing so.

Caring, sensitive and compassionate are a few words to describe her tender heart. I feel like Katie’s life purpose is to be a mom and a great one she will be. She treats the children in her life as if they were her own. “Auntie Katie” is the first to build a fort, make fancy hot chocolates, or come up with new games when our friends’ children come to visit. She opens our home in an instant making them feel comfortable and with that their imagination sores. In our previous home, she made a toy room for the children that visited, sharing her childhood toys. Man, did they love that! She has a huge heart and I can only imagine the love she will have towards our daughter.

About Travis (By Katie)

Hardworking, loyal, and passionate are a few words I like to describe Travis. He is always first to wake and take on the day. He never misses work and takes great pride in providing for his family. We love to host friends on the weekends and their children can’t wait for him to bust out a great song to dance to, play games, teach them how to juggle or dance the worm. He doesn’t show his big heart to many but when our friends children come around, it just melts. He is fun “Uncle Trav” to them. I have no doubt he will be the best father to our daughter and their bond will be strong. Our daughter’s happiness and well-being will be his first priority in life and I can’t wait to see his heart grow even bigger.

Our home and loved ones

Family and friends are the most important in our lives. Our support system is huge and they can’t wait to meet our daughter and will be welcoming her with open arms for the biggest of hugs and lovins’. We see family and friends on a regular basis. Get-togethers hanging out, playing cards, cooking, baking, and traveling are often.

We moved into our dream home a year ago. It offers wide open spaces on several acres where we soak up the most beautiful sunsets while sipping lemonade on the front porch in our rocking chairs. We are within a few miles from our small town where the entire school system is. Travis was raised here and Katie not too much farther away. A place where you still wave when driving by another and take a moment in the local grocery store to say hi and how are you. In summer there is a street dance, old time threshing show and a big firework display. In the fall there is a harvesting show and a traditional homecoming parade. The children’s park hosts movie nights, Easter egg hunts and Halloween trunk or treat. We are within a short driving distance to many zoo’s, discovery centers, and sports stadiums.

Our fur baby Charlotte is a black lab who just turned 7. She is a gentle, fun-loving dog and has been raised with children loving, playing and rolling all over her.

What we love to do for fun

• Having a dance party with friends on the weekend. Travis even installed a disco light recently!

• Having dinner with friends at their home our ours. It is typical for us to see friends and family every weekend.

• Attending sporting events. It may be a Chief's game, Royals game, NASCAR race or golf tournament.

• We travel all year and every two years with Travis’s family as a tradition

• Boating and camping at the local lake.

• Dinner and a new movie either at the theater or at home. Katie loves adding to her Disney collection.
