We were married in November 2019 and have known since the beginning that we wanted to build a family through adoption. We hope to give you a glimpse into our lives and the love and security we have to offer. Know that no matter the outcome we are praying for you and your baby and hope the best for you. We also pray that God will give you the support and peace to reach a decision that’s right for both of you. We look forward to talking to you and learning the hopes and dreams you have for your child.

About us

Meeting through a Wichita board game group, it took weeks for Aaron to find the courage to ask Katelyn out. We both knew from the beginning though, that we were right for each other. When we got engaged, we celebrated by playing games at an arcade. 

We got married November 2019, surrounded by friends and family with Aaron’s dad leading the service.

While we had many plans for our first year of marriage... all of that changed due to COVID. Instead of going on our honeymoon, we spent months together working from home. The hardest part was not being around family and friends. Luckily, we were still able to “see” them over Zoom and spend time playing online board games. We were also glad to be able to still attend church via streaming, keeping God a part of our lives. This year only made us more sure about our love and desire to expand our family through adoption.

MEET OUR PUP

Watson was adopted into our family during the pandemic. He loves cuddling and meeting new people. He’s never met someone that he dislikes. He’s ready for a kid of his own. 

Our home and loved ones

We live in a family-oriented neighborhood with a park in Wichita. Our home has four big bedrooms, a basement and a huge backyard (it’s perfect for a swing set). Our favorite place is our large family room because it’s a place where everyone can be together...this is followed closely by our finished basement with Aaron’s collection of board games and a table to play on!

Aaron’s parents and brother live in Wichita, while Katelyn’s parents and grandma live close enough to Wichita to be a part of our child’s life. All are looking forward to welcoming the first new baby into the family. From big celebrations to Sunday dinners they will be there. Aaron’s brother and Katelyn’s sister (who she’s very close to) are looking forward to having a niece/nephew. Both moms spoil their “grandpuppy” already…one can only imagine what it will be like with a grandbaby.

What we love to do for fun

In our free time we love to play board games. We enjoy cooking together and are always trying new recipes. We also enjoy traveling and are excited to go to new places and try new foods. Katelyn enjoys reading and knitting. Aaron plays the bass in the church praise band and is an avid audiobook fan. 

We can also be found many evenings cuddled on the couch watching Netflix with our dog. Katelyn would choose to always watch competition cooking shows (Great British Bake Off!) but Aaron insists that they watch other things sometimes.
