We know first-hand how beautiful adoption can be! We met our son through adoption, and we hope to add to our family in this way.

About us
We met at the only restaurant in our hometown, nine years ago! Jessie was a server and Kodie would come in regularly to order food he didn’t need and flirt. We spent four years together before getting married in a small ceremony with only family and a few friends. We’ve been happily married for five years! We’ve relied on each other through the college years and the beginning of our careers. One strength in our relationship is our consistent support for each other.
Adoption has always been in our hearts, it’s something we have talked about since we met and after experiencing several years of infertility, we adopted our son, Houston. We have always felt confident that this is the path we are supposed to be on. We couldn’t be happier to continue growing our family in this way. We can’t wait to adopt again!
OUR WORK
JESSIE: I’m a First Grade teacher! I love transforming my classroom into the perfect place for little explorers.
KODIE: I work as a Crew Lead for a large company in our area. I have a position that has flexible hours and provides the financial stability needed to raise a family.
HOUSTON - Big brother-to-be
We adopted Houston in early 2020 through an open adoption.He is such a happy boy; he loves everyone and everything. We have never seen him have a bad day. He loves to play with the dogs, listen to music and dance. We are so lucky to have him in our lives. We would love for him to have a lifelong friend, we know he will be a wonderful brother.
Our home and loved ones
We live in a small community just outside of our hometown. Our house is full of love and character. Our house used to belong to Kodie’s grandpa and is the house Kodie’s mom grew up in. We bought it seven years ago and we’ve spent the last few years restoring it. We hope to pass this home down to our children someday.
Our yard is perfect for playing, we have an acre that is fenced in! We are planning to build a playhouse and mud kitchen this summer!
OUR FAMILY
JESSIE: I come from a very large, blended family. I have five siblings, two of them are adopted! I have three nieces who I’m incredibly close to, they are great cousins. My parents are fun loving, adventurous, and the best grandparents ever. My entire family is so excited to welcome another baby.
KODIE: My family is small but close. We love taking weekend trips together to places like Branson and getting together for traditions like pumpkin carving and Christmas cookie decorating. My parents were thrilled to hear about our plans to adopt again.
What we love to do for fun!
More than anything, we love to travel and experience new things. In the last few years, we have traveled to several different states and have been fortunate enough to visit a handful of different countries! This is a passion we share, and we can’t wait to show our children the world.
When we aren’t traveling, we love to get together with friends and family. We regularly go to our families’ houses for dinner on the weekends and spend time with our nieces and nephews. They can’t wait for us to grow our family! We love taking the dogs on walks and car rides to get pup cups from Sonic.
Kodie’s favorite thing to do on the weekend is go hunting or fishing. Jessie’s favorite thing to do on the weekend is create fun new things for her class and prep for the school week
