Hey there! We are Heather and Russell.

We have always planned on having children and will provide a loving, welcoming household to your child. We have a large extended family with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins who also can’t wait to meet your child. We all enjoy spending time with one another during holidays, weekends and any other opportunity to see each other.

About us

We met through a friend and dated for a year and half before we got engaged. We spend a lot of time with family/friends on the weekend and like staying busy playing games and spending time with our dogs.

We have tried IVF and egg donor procedures and have been trying to have children the last four years. Being parents is what is most important to us and we would love to share our lives with a child. We feel that we have a lot of love to give and want to share this.

our thoughts about parenting

Combined, we have a large supportive family and enjoy doing all holiday activities together, especially Christmas. Christmas is Heather’s favorite holiday and we would like to carry on family Christmas traditions of baking cookies, decorating the house and belting out Christmas songs. We don’t believe in physical discipline and plan on talking with our children depending on where they are at developmentally. We believe it is important to have children try different activities, see new places and find what interests them. We would like to have a semi-open adoption.

meet our family

Heather: I come from a small family (dad, sister/husband, aunt) that live here in town, and my extended family lives in Dallas Ft. Worth. I have three cousins who live in Ft. Worth, Texas who we visit regularly and see new sites in town while we’re there. I am close with my local family and enjoy celebrating holidays/birthdays with them.

Russell: I come from a large family with four brothers, three sisters, and 18 nieces and nephews. We have family gatherings for all of the holidays and birthdays. We enjoy taking our nieces and nephews in town to do child-centered activities.

our home and community

We live in close knit community in Andover, Kansas in a four bedroom, 3 bathroom home with a large backyard. The neighborhood has a small park and a pond where you can go fishing. One of the reasons we love our neighborhood is that there are a lot of families and children. 

We live close to a lake and spend hours there every summer with our nieces and nephews. Andover is known for amazing schools and is one of the main reasons we chose to live here.

What we love to do for fun

Heather loves to read, garden and plan parties. She enjoys being outside and finding new adventures. She can’t wait to share her love of reading and exploring new activities with our future child. Russell loves watching all sports, has become an expert at grilling and enjoys puzzles of all kinds. He enjoys playing Dungeon and Dragons with his life long friends. We love doing activities with our nieces and nephews and playing board games whenever we can! 

We both love to travel all over the world, experiencing new adventures and can’t wait to share these experiences with your child.
