Hi! We are excited to share a little about our lives and dreams for our family with you.

We have always wanted a family and knew adoption would always be a part of our journey. God has given us both a heart for adoption and providing a loving home for a beautiful little boy or girl. We adopted our son Henry four years ago and have loved parenting such a fun, ornery, and sweet little boy! We are so grateful that Henry’s birth mother chose life and chose us to parent her baby boy! We now have two little ones at home and would love to expand our family through adoption again. We are open to building a relationship with you as the birth mother during pregnancy. We are open to any race, ethnicity, and gender that your child may be. We want to be truly open to any child God provides to us. We are also open to your concerns with open and closed adoptions. If pictures or letters are desired, we would be open to sharing. We will certainly be praying for you as you make these important decisions in your life. We know God has a plan for you and your child, and we sincerely hope we are the right family for your sweet baby. You are in our thoughts and prayers!

About us

We met when a mutual friend had a dream to set us up on a blind date! Matt drove to Oklahoma one very hot July night to take Emily to a baseball game, it was only 115 degrees! We dated long distance and Matt decided very quickly to pop the question while on a trip to visit family in New York City! We loved getting to know each other and combining our worlds of friends and family. Matt bent down on one knee, Emily was absolutely surprised, and she quickly said yes! We have been married for almost eight years and God has brought us together for such a fun adventure!

Meet our kiddos

Henry

We adopted Henry from a few states away, so we had quite the adventure! We were in the hospital with Henry for about 3 weeks while he got bigger and healthy enough to come home. We had all our friends and families awaiting our arrival! God was faithful everyday throughout that process and we are so grateful for all the people who helped us along our adoption journey. He has kept us on our toes and we have quickly learned to baby proof the house! We got pregnant with our daughter Peyton who arrived just weeks after Henry's 3rd birthday. He has been a great big brother and they are learning how to play together as they both grow. Henry just turned 4 and Peyton just celebrated her 1st birthday! They love making each other laugh and sharing snacks!

Our home and loved ones

We love having Matt’s family nearby for family parties and holiday celebrations. And of course, they love college basketball! Emily’s family enjoy getting together for holidays, birthdays, and any other occasion to celebrate! They love college football too!

We moved houses and are now closer to work, church, and family! Our new house is in walking distance to many parks and we love spending time exploring the neighborhood! We are settled in a small family community outside the big city. It is perfect for riding bikes, walking around the pond, and being outside with all the neighbors. We have July 4th block parties and watch the fireworks every year!

A special note about adoption

We have witnessed several adoptions take place in our extended family. Matt’s cousins have adopted beautiful African-American children and bi-racial children. They are funny, outgoing kids who have found the comfort and joy of a loving family. We look forward to providing similar experiences to our future child. We know they will have an extended family ready to welcome him or her with open arms.

What we love to do for fun!

• We still love to travel! We recently went to Boston to watch my sister run the Boston Marathon! We also enjoy extended family vacations to the beach, cabins, and Great Wolf Lodge!

• We have a serious love for Mexican food and Emily might have a sweet tooth too...cupcakes and pie are the way to her heart!

• We love spending time eating and laughing with family and friends
