The idea of open adoption is so beautiful to me, and I would embrace a world where our child stays connected to birth family, and thrives within our extended circle of care.

I’m beyond excited to embark on this journey of motherhood through adoption, and I feel incredibly blessed to have such a supportive village of friends and family who are ready to be a part of our child’s life story. Connection, community, and love are at the heart of who I am, and I cannot wait to share these values with our child.

Though infertility made the journey to parenthood challenging, I truly believe adoption is the path I was meant to take, and I’m beyond excited to create a family through this beautiful process.

my home

I live in North Portland, a vibrant neighborhood with community gardens, parks, cafes, and quality schools, all just a short walk away. My home is on a quiet block, with a cozy four-bedroom space, a front and backyard full of flowers and trees, and a creative area where my mom and I share our love of art and weaving. It’s the perfect spot for arts and crafts with my future child, as well as digging and playing outside. I share my home with two friendly dogs, Lola and Mina, who love exploring the yard and going on walks. What I love most about our home in Oregon, is how close we are to nature and the beautiful changing seasons here. I cannot wait to collect fall leaves, make snow men, watch the cherry blossoms bloom, and swim in the summer with our child.

meet my family

My mom is the heart of our family. She’s kind, loving, and always there to listen. She enjoys gardening, weaving, and making healthy meals, and her resilience and optimism are qualities I’ve deeply inherited. She’s excited to share her home with a grandchild.

I’m also very close to my nieces and nephew, who are full of love and energy. We have fun together during holidays and beach trips. With family spread across both coasts, I’m excited to create memories with cousins, and to take future trips and camping adventures with the kids.

My Thoughts On Parenting

My approach to parenting is all about creating a loving, secure, and supportive environment where our child is safe to explore and become who they are meant to be. I believe in the power of wonder and play, and also the importance of nurturing friendships from an early age.

Above all, I want my child to feel deeply connected to their family and know they are surrounded by love from everyone that makes up the constellation of their story (including birth family).
