Chelsea and Ty, a loving couple hoping to adopt another child

Hello! we are ty and chelsea.

We are so excited to be on this adoption journey. This must be an extremely emotional time for you, as you make one of the most important and difficult decisions of your life. We cannot thank you enough for your courageous decision to choose adoption for your child. No matter what family you choose, your child will be such a wonderful blessing. Our promise to you is that if you do choose us, your child will be loved dearly and provided for always. We are excited to share a little of our lives with you. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know and consider us for your child!

We have worked hard to center our marriage on our faith and will strive to raise our children with our faith as the foundation.

About us

We met early in life, as we attended middle and high school together. We started dating in college and were married in June of 2005, when we were just 21 years old!

We enjoy spending time with family and friends, love being outdoors and are always up for trying new things. Both of us love children and have always wanted a big family. We have had a desire to adopt children long before unexplained infertility prevented us from having children of our own.

We feel that we are walking the path we are supposed to follow and are so incredibly blessed to be able to pursue another adoption!

Meet Our boys

We were blessed to meet all three of our amazing sons at birth or within a few days of their birth. Asa was born in March of 2015, Josiah in May of 2017, and Caleb in August of 2019. They have all brought so much laughter to us. We do not have contact with Asa’s birth family, but have some contact with Josiah and Caleb’s birth families.

our home and community

We live in a small town in a neighborhood with many children. We have a small park in the center of our town and are lucky enough to live near a larger city with a zoo, science museum, and several swimming parks.

We live in Kansas, so we have warm summers and cold winters. We live near a city that has many festivals and fairs throughout the year, so there are always many exciting things to do!

our family and friends

Ty’s immediate family includes his father, Tad, his mother, Pam, his sister, Bailey (and her husband, also named Ty), and his brother, Sam (and his wife, Hollie). Chelsea’s immediate family includes her father, Greg, her mother, Teresa, and her brother, Colby (and his wife, Kirsten and kids, Kyndal and Nolan).

We live about ten minutes from both sets of grandparents. We are lucky enough to have our families living in the same town, so we are able to share holidays easily and visit each other frequently!

We are lucky to be a part of a wonderful group of couples we met through our church. We get together at least every week for Bible study and fellowship. There are many young children in the group and we look forward to watching our children grow up with this close knit group of friends and their children!

We are very close with both of our families.

What we love to do for fun

We love being active and spending time outdoors, hiking especially. Both of us enjoy traveling, although we don’t get to do this nearly as often as we’d like. Ty plays golf (an interest he picked up from his father) and Chelsea enjoys running and competes in a few small races every year.

We both absolutely love the Christmas holiday and have developed our own traditions around this time of year. Another common interest we share is football! Ty follows the Kansas City Chiefs and Chelsea is a fan of the Oregon Ducks. We love sharing all of these things with our children!

In Closing

Words cannot express how excited we are to expand our family. We know that another child will be an incredible blessing and a wonderful addition to our family. Our dream for our next child is that he or she will grow into a kind, compassionate, respectful and hardworking man or woman. We promise to support him or her always. We promise to love our child unconditionally and to foster an environment where he or she feels safe to pursue his or her own interests and desires. Thank you again for considering us to receive the greatest gift we will ever receive!
